Look at my code and read the caption please

So my friends and I have been stuck on this lesson for a very long time, and we have asked many people on the Codecademy Q&A forum for help, and nothing has worked. So here is the code we have come up with from what one of the Codecademy team member's said, and it is still not working. It says that we need an image and a link, but if you look at the white screen on the right hand side, and image and a link are clearly there. HELP!

Can anyone find the problem in my code?
I am not sure what I am doing wrong with this code

Hi.

I think this is asking for two images, one image needs to be a plain image, and one with a link. You only have one image that is a link, and you have text that is a link. Try adding another plain image with the img tag.

Is this lesson 13 - Images and Links?

Actually, I've got that wrong.

Your image is not linked.

A linked image should be like this:

<a href="URL"> <img src="URL"></a>

so you need to add that with your own links.

also remove the </a> tag after the image you have, you don't have an opening a tag, and that image will not link anywhere.

let me know how it goes

You should have two images and this is how you add a link to a image:
<a href="https://www.codecademy.com">
<img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/codecademy-images/discuss_cc-logo.png" /> </a>

#6

You need a closing quote ( " ) for your <img> tag.

#7

No need to make 2 topics + 1 topic your friend made. It is inefficient.

The error it's giving tells you what to do:
1. add 2 images.
2. make one of them a link.

To add an image you need to use <img src=""> tags.
Best way to do it is:
<img src="www.linkToYourImage.com" alt="Some alt text here"</img>

To make one of them a link is simply putting them in anchor tags.
<a href=""></a>

Hope this helps

The problem is that you only put in one image when you are suppose to put in two. One regular image, and another image nested inside of an <a> tag. Hope this helped :slight_smile:
