Log file location for bash_profiile errors

I use Linux (CentOS) quite a lot and know the general layout and features, I am currently working towards the bash course so I can improve my skills and start scripting.

On a test box I have been experimenting with the lesson that goes through editing ~/.bash_profile

I have been purposely trying to break it using my understanding of the OS and it appears to be working as I expected it to.

I have been looking to see if my loading the file generates any errors, but have not been able to see if it does, and where they are logged.

Is it the case that you need to tell the bash profile that it needs to log errors in the config? Or does it do this and I am just looking the wrong place?

Sorry to say, its not possible to give solution only on the basis of your this explanation, share with screenshots. Thanks
