Links and text-decoration

#1

i have no idea why , but it doesn't work . i checked the code , it should be okey but it returns an error message of:
"Oops, try again.
Did you remember to set your a's text-decoration to none?"

here is the css:
a {
text-decoration :none;
color :#cc0000;
}

here is the html:

<head>
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
    <title>Result</title>
</head>
<body>
    <p>The below link goes to Google!</p>
    <a href="http://www.google.com/">Google</a>
</body>

Links and text decoration solved

Could you post your full html and full css? For all i know, you forgot a closing curly bracket somewhere in css

It's there. You need to remove the space between text-decoration and :

text-decoration: none;

I didn't think that was the problem, because awkwardly enough you can write it like that and still have it apply the correct styling. Is this a codecademy specific text thing?

We would go a bit off-topic if i answer your question, but yes, can be a codecademy specific thing. If the regex expression used to check the exercise doesn't allow the space, you will get an error message
