Link problem in CSS: an overview lesson 12

I am typing in the Link correcty as shown below:

!–Add your link tag here!–>
link type:“text/css” rel=“stylesheet” href=“stylesheet.css”/>
title>Result /title>

Sorry, I had to remove the “<” in the beggining of each sentence because it will not show on the message.

I am getting an error message that exactly states: Oops, try again. Did you remember to include a type=“text/css” in your tag?

Glitch or am I doing something wrong?

You have a colon after type, this should be a equal sign.

for next time, use one of the two following options to make your code/indent is visible: (might save you some time)

select your code and press ctrl + shift + c (or cmd + shift + c if you use a mac)

if this instructions are unclear, you can also insert 3 backticks before and after your code, like so:

the backtick is located above the tab key on your keyboard

<h1 {
h3 {
p {

Doing something wrong??
I am getting an error message stating:Oops, try again. Did you remember to make your h1 font-family Verdana?

your h1 selector has < which shouldn’t be there, sure you fixed your <link>?

I just got passed it, like now. I was missing the /* CSS comment */ and I did change the <

A post was split to a new topic: Link problem lesson 12

put a space after each semi-colon

I seem to be having the same problem… but I think mine is a glitch…

I don’t see what I am doing wrong and my css is:

/* styling with css comments */
h1 {
font-family: Verdana;

h3 {
font-family: Courier;

p {
color: purple;

this exercise requires xml syntax, close your link tag with a slash:

href="stylesheet.css" />

smh, thank you! I can’t believe I overlooked that… :sweat_smile:

You didn’t overlook anything, if you just use html(5), this slash is not required
