Life expectancy

As we can see by the charts the life expectancy for the six countries has gone up with Zimbabwe having the greatest increase. Is there a correlation between GDP and life expectancy? Before running these charts I would have said yes that there is a direct correlation. That the more money citizens have the longer their life expectancy. Looking at the charts though there is an increase in life expectancy with China and the United States of America with a dramatic increase in GDP. The chart does not reflect the dramatic increase in life expectancy even though these nations have had a great increase in GDP. Zimbabwe on the other hand has not had a dramatic increase in GDP yet they have had a dramatic change in their life expectancy. This increase may be to do with a reduction of AIDS cases.
