LF and CRLF issue in git

what is a best way to solve this issue for a window user?
LF will be replaced by CRLF in README.txt.
do I need to
git config core.autocrlf false
or
git config core.autocrlf true

True would be the setting that is designed to covert the files to LF when submitted to the online repo and to CRLF when checked out locally. I think the following solution is quite nice since it propagates to anyone who uses the repo (though the warning about altering files you don’t want to should not be taken lightly)- Edward Thomson: Git for Windows: Line Endings

There’s nothing stopping you using both since one overrides the other. There’s some guidance at Configuring Git to handle line endings - GitHub Docs about this and probably more if you search around.

while we here, could you please tell me why I keep getting this from my terminal?

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.
PS C:\Hello World\excursion> git branch -M main
PS C:\Hello World\excursion> git push -u main
fatal: ‘main’ does not appear to be a git repository
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights

PS C:\Hello World\excursion>

never mind. I figure it out. thank you for everything!
