So the 'and' operator does as it says. it checks one expression, AND the other one aswell.
If the first question is true... make sure the second one is too.
Or is the single alternative... only one OR the other has to be true.
Its the same as saying... I want to have chicken AND chips for dinner (both). Instead of I want to have Chicken or chips (either).
