Lesson 5. Wrap with a div, can't figure out what I'm doing wrong?

#1

Hi
I'm trying to see what's wrong with this code but I can't figure it out. Anyone have an idea?

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <body>
  <div class"nav">
   <div class"container">
  	<ul>
	  <li>Item 1</li>
	  <li>Item 2</li>
	</ul>
	<ul>
	  <li>Sign Up</li>
	  <li>Log In</li>
	  <li>Help</li>
	 </div>
	</div>
	<div class"jumbotron">
         <div class"container">
	  <h1>Find a place to stay.</h1>
    	  <p>Rent from people in over 34,000 cities and 192 countries.</p>
	 </div>
	</div>
  </body>
</html>

But I keep getting this error:

Oops, try again. Wrap the h1 and p elements with <div class="container>..</div>

What are you missing here that is shown in the error message.

*Hint its used a lot in maths *

I feel like such an idiot. Strange that it didn't give me the same error on the first 'Wrapping with a div' lesson though.

Thank you.

Can you post your code please?

copy and paste it to forums here, then select it all and press ctrl shift c

rubymaster was missing an = after class make sure you have that. AND all div's are closed.

#6

I've just done it. I was using too many spaces in between

This is the final code.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <body>
  <div class="nav">
   <div class="container">
  	<ul>
	  <li>Item 1</li>
	  <li>Item 2</li>
	</ul>
	<ul>
	  <li>Sign Up</li>
	  <li>Log In</li>
	  <li>Help</li>
	 </div>
	</div>
	<div class="jumbotron">
        <div class="container">
	<h1>Find a place to stay.</h1>
	<p>Rent from people in over 34,000 cities and 192 countries.</p>
	    </div>
	</div>
  </body>
</html>
