$(document).ready(function(){
    $('#one').append('<p>The person next to me is annoying</p>')

#7

Error:Oops, try again.
It looks like you didn't insert your <p> after the <div> with ID #one.

#8

You have .append you need to use .after

.append add's as the last element here we are using .after to add it after #one

#9

I modified that, I'm still getting an error and I don't know why.

#10

You are missing some brackets (curly and normal) have a look at the opening of the document..

}) ;

A semi colon at the end of this line

#11

Dang I feel dumb, I'm still having a problem.

    $('#one').after('<p>The person next to me is annoying</p>'));

#12

You have two ) you need one, please paste in your full code so that I can check properly as it might be closing another function ect..

#13

$(document).ready(function(){
$('#one').after('<p>The person next to me is annoying</p>'));
}

#14

the second bracket should be after curly bracket ..

Like this:

ext to me is annoying</p>');
});

#15

Thank you it finally worked. I was stuck on it for three days :/.

#16

Remember this shouldn't change as you go along in the lesson's

$(document).ready(function(){

   //just keep on adding more jQuery code in here

});
