Lesson 26. Links and Text Decoration

did you remember to set your link's color to ##cc0000;?

<!DOCTYPE html>
	<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"</>
		<h1>Welcome to the World of Coding!</h2>
		<p>Here is what I have learned so far in this course on Codeacademy.com!</p>
		<a ref="http://google.com">Google</a>
		<img src="http://bit.ly/NnVbxt"/>

CSS Code

{type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" ref="stylesheet.css"}
p {
    font-family: Garamond, serif;
h1 {
    font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
    color: #576D94;
p {
    font-size: 18px;
    color: #4A4943
img {
    width: 300px;
    border: 1px solid;
    color: #4682b4
a ref {
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #cc0000;

What am i doing wrong? What did i forget to add or take out? Thanks for the help in advance!

your css selector (a ref) is wrong. for two reasons, in the html code, the attribute of <a></a> should be href (hyperlink reference), ref is not existing, but neither ref of href belongs in css, it is attribute for html code, not css code
