Lesson 23 - Displaying it properly

#1

Help please , why this is not working?

        Instructions

        Fix this by:
  1. Setting li's display value to inline;
  1. Giving it 5 pixels of padding all around.

li {
/*Add your CSS here!*/
display:inline;
padding:5px;
border: 2px solid #000000;
font-family: Futura, Tahoma, sans-serif;
color: #ffffff;
border-radius: 5px 5px;
background-color: #cc0323
}

thanks

you might want to check al css selectors have a closing curly bracket (}), in particular check the #navbar

Thank you, I do appreciate, I got help right away:). My wife is learning too (we are not that young:) and I notice that both of us get discourage to learn, when we can move to the next lesson. but I am going to tell her about my experience today. I know she will love it. have a great day!

#6

Being unable to move on, is rather frustrating, but that is what the forum is for. Good to hear your experience on the forum was good :slight_smile: Keep learning/coding :slight_smile: You will find it becomes easier, and you will become better at finding problems/bugs :slight_smile:

#7

you must use padding with top,left,right,bottom

#8

Hi, what worked for me in this exercise was I had to put "display:Inline;" at the very top, the right under it put "padding: 5px 5px 5px 5px;
