Lesson 18 Pseudo class selectors (Bug ?)

#1

Hello everyone,

I am looking for some help concerning this lesson, I believe that my code is correct but it keept showing me this message : "Oops, try again. Make sure you put some text between your tags!"

Here's a photo :

CSS code is :

a:hover{
text-decoration:none;
}
a:first-child{
color:#CDBE70;
}
a:nth-child(3){
color:#FFC125;
}

Thanks in advance.

Hi in you second <a></a> you didnt close it right.

#3

oh thank you so much, didn't pay attention to that detail :smiley:

#4

and because you are using breaks, nth-child(3) will target the second link, rather then the third (last one), but that is just a minor detail as well

#5

I have the same problem but the text saying "Did you remember to set your to the color #CDBE70?"

This is my html:

My link
My link
My link

Here is my CSS.

a:hover{
text-decoration:none;
}
p:first-child{
color:#CDBE70;
}
p:nth-child(3){
color:#FFC125;
}

Your css selector is wrong, you want to target the links, you currently target paragraphs (which you don't have), take a moment to rethink your css selector
