Lesson 15: Oops, try again. Make sure you put some text between your <a></a> tags!

I am getting the following error message despite having text. What am I missing?

Thank you.

<!DOCTYPE html>
		<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
			<a href="www.nwmondo.com">NW Mondo</a>
			<a href="www.northwestkendo">NW Kendo<a/>
			<a href="www.facebook.com/northwestkendo">Facebook<a/>

For this lesson you have to edit CSS too. Can you paste your CSS code please?

a:link {
text-decoration: none; color: #008B45
a:hover {
color: #008B45
a:visited {
color: #EE9A00

Also I tried this with Chrome and FF.

You are missing semi colons at the end of your statements. It should look like this.

a:link {
    color: #008B45;
    text-decoration: none;

a:visited {
    color: #EE9A00;
a:hover {
    color: #00FF00;

Let me know if that solved it.

I'm an idiot - I forgot those. Still getting the error message, though. It seems to be related to what I did or did not do on the HTML tab.

Your closing tags are wrong. Should be </a>

Thank you very much! That was just sloppy on my part. I appreciate your help.

All good, anytime. Happy to help.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've used chrome, edge, and firefox to try to get this resolved and still can't get passed the "make sure you put some text between your tags!". I even used your code just so I can get passed it and it still won't let me...

Please start a new topic and post your code, the excersise URL and the error message. I am sure we can get to the bottom of this.

I erased everything and started over. Thanks for the help! :slight_smile:
