#1

https://www.codecademy.com/courses/javascript-beginner-en-6LzGd/2/3?curriculum_id=506324b3a7dffd00020bf661#

I keep receiving the error "Oops, try again. Your code doesn't look quite right. Click "Stuck? Get a hint!" if you need help!"
TypeError: console.log is not a function

var nameString=function(name)
{
    return "Hi, I am" + " " + name ;
}
console.log( nameString("Joe"));

#2

This indicates that the built-in function is corrupted. Copy the URL from the location bar and open a new window or tab. Paste in the URL and open the page anew. Now go over and copy your code and paste it into the new page. Close the old tab/window. Save and Submit.

@coursemaster52198,
Or do a so-called refresh Browser

++++ reset of session *****************
As you are manipulating with objects
under certain circumstances you can shoot your Browser in an
inconsistent state.

Therefor it is of an advantage to know that you have 2 reset facilities:

One is the use of the F5-key which does a refresh Browser

and

Two, select&copy your code
Then use the Reset Code button of the course-window,
then paste your code back in.

Addendum
General Notes:
Always refresh the browser after making corrections:
CTRL f5 ( if on Windows or Linux)
CMD r ( if on a MAC).
CTRL 0 to reset browser zoom

Thank you. I kept looking at the code and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, I swear I sat here for 30min trying different things to get it to work and never thought of refresh to the browser.
