When doing the exercises that ask to modify files, is there a preferred text editor that is available to us? So far, I am using “vi”. As awesome as it is, I would like to know what else is out there. (I jumped into RoR right after signing up, so I may have missed some onboarding thingy. Feel free to let me know what I missed.)

Okay, found it. I discovered that I didn’t know the layout of the codeacademy integrated development env. (IDE) webpage well enough. I didn’t see (ignored) the upper code editor on the screen and “file” icon which exposed the file structure. And then simply clicking on the file I wanted to edit.

Willing to be humble in case anyone falls into the same trap.
