Learn HTML: "Wine Festival Schedule"

project in question: https://www.codecademy.com/courses/learn-html/projects/wine-festival-schedule?action=resume_content_item

What purpose does td class=“left” serve? It has no visual differences from a normal td tag as far as I can tell.

.left {
  width: 150px;

Element with this class will be 150px wide.

It’s not how I would specify the width of that column, but it works and doesn’t overly complicate things for new learners who don’t know all the selectors, yet.
