i keep getting the following error: get_average(alice) raised the following error: object of type 'float' has no len()

def average(numbers):
total = sum(numbers)
total = float(total)
total = float(total) / len(total)

def get_average(student):
homework = average(student["homework"])

tests = average(student["tests"])
return homework * 0.1 + quizzes * 0.3 + tests * 0.6

This line,

Should look like this

`total = total / len(numbers)`

Because you are not trying to return the float after dividing the total's length.
