thank you for your help code is below

 def average(numbers):
  sum(numbers)
  total = sum(numbers)
  total = float(total)
  total = float(total) / len(numbers)
  return total

  def get_average(student):
   homework = average(student["homework"])
   quizzes = average(student["quizzes"])
   tests = average(student["tests"])
   get_average = homework * 0.1 + quizzes * 0.3 + tests * 0.6
   return get_average

Hiya,

I think your code is perfect, except that the first line of the def get_average method definition is indented and should not be. Try it without indentation, and let us know if that doesn't work for ya!

#3

can i see your full code? please use format:

otherwise indent won't show up, and you seem to have an indention issue

#4

thank you that was the problem
