jQuery Effects Exercise 10 Sortable,selectable

$('ol').sortable();

});

Another function separately called
$(document).ready(function(){
$('ol').sortable();

});

I have passed debugger but can't see any changes on result , even there is no error result is sme and i moved to next lesson .. I just don't understand its use

Once you have read the documentation that @leonhard.wettengmx.n provided, try dragging the list items up and down the list and dropping them in new locations. This is what sortable() is intended to support. User interaction with the presented data. The data doesn't change, but the user can change how it is ordered.

We can then capture this new order and store the data or use it in that order.
