Jekyll not displaying in live browser; AWS <--> GitHub connection confirmed

Deploy a Website - Confirm the Custom Domain

I completed the full course. Jekyll shows up fine on my local machine (http://localhost:4000/). Everything pushed to Git. AWS set up correctly. However, when I load my website in the browser, it is just a blank screen. Jekyll site/code does not show up??

To troubleshoot, I created an index.html file with the word "hello", added it to the directory root, pushed to Git, and sure enough, "hello" now shows up in the browser (you can see attached html code). This implies everything is connected and working, except the Jekyll code. I attached a screen shot of dig.

Can someone help me figure out why Jekyll isn't loading? Thanks so much.
