Java Modulo Question 9 Can't Get Passed

#1

Hi, I am new to Code Academy so I am not sure if I am even actually correct on this, but I started the Introduction to Java course and I am currently stuck on Question 9.

The question asks to make modulo equation in which the remainder is 2

The answers I have given so far are:
11 % 3
8 % 3
10 % 4
20 % 9

Is there one specific answer I must give or is the question simply broken?
If so, is there any way in which I can skip this question to complete the rest of the skill course?

Thank you! :slightly_smiling:

Please post your full code, and your error message, as it usually explains the problem. :slightly_smiling:

#3

public class Modulo {
public static void main(String[] args) {

	int myRemainder = 11 % 3
	System.out.println(myRemainder);

}

}

Modulo.java:4: error: ';' expected
int myRemainder = 11 % 3
^
1 error

#4

As I said, the error says what is wrong.

Modulo.java:4: error: ';' expected
int myRemainder = 11 % 3
^
1 error

It expects a semicolon. Do you know where it should be?

#5

I totally forgot about the semicolon! Thank you so much!

You're welcome! :slightly_smiling:
