" It looks like you didn't log the correct string to the console! Make sure to use exactly the string shown."

Hi,

I wonder what is wrong with this code. If those names are exactly wqually long, should not this if-sentemce be right?

// Not sure where to begin? Check the Hint!
if ("Maria".length=="Jenni".length)
{console.log("I finished my course!");}

else{console.log("I did not finish my course");}

It prints the text "I finished my course!" on the black screen, but it still says:"

Oops, try again.
It looks like you didn't log the correct string to the console! Make sure to use exactly the string shown."

Your code is correct but In the lesson they want you log a specific string. Make sure you output that exact string...

Are they asking you to output "I finished my course!" or something else? You have to follow the instruction exactly or you will not be able to move on, that's how the

It still says error when I put this:

// Not sure where to begin? Check the Hint!
if ("I finished my course!".length===21)
{console.log("I finished my course!");}

else{console.log("I did not finish my course");}

Edit: it says: "Oops, try again. It looks like you didn't log the correct string to the console! Make sure to use exactly the string shown."

Which section of lesson 1 are you on?

#6

Sorry, I made very stupid mistake: I forgot the word "first" from the string.

Now it is right:

// Not sure where to begin? Check the Hint!
if ("I finished my course!".length==21)
{console.log("I finished my first course!");}

else{console.log("I did not finish my course");}

One word...

replace your string exactly like they are asking you to, I know it's dumb but codeacademy actually checks to make sure you have that exact string outputting.
