It keeps saying i need to create a variable called word when i already did

#1

I went back through the whole pyglatin lesson and it doesnt work but before it did

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    print original

word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
else:
    print 'empty'

#2

You have to include them in your 'if statement'. Move the colon to after.

#3

It gives me the error of it saying it doesn't run to end
pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha()
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
new_word =word + first + pyg
new_words = new_word[1:len(new_word)]:
print original
else:
print 'empty'

What did I do wrong on this part?
File "python", line 8
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha()
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

#4

I removed
else:
print 'empty'

and it worked, feel that i snuck past the right answer though?

first = word[0]
