Issuw with Stocking Out Example

#1

Hi

I am new to python and stuck at Stocking Out example. Below is the error i am getting
while executing code.

Oops, try again. stock doesn't look quite right! Make sure to not call compute_bill since it changes the stock! It should contain: {'orange': 32, 'pear': 15, 'banana': 6, 'apple': 0}

Please suggest what exactly is wrong

shopping_list = ["banana", "orange", "apple"]

stock = {
    "banana": 6,
    "apple": 0,
    "orange": 32,
    "pear": 15
}

prices = {
    "banana": 4,
    "apple": 2,
    "orange": 1.5,
    "pear": 3
}

# Write your code below!

def compute_bill(food):
    total = 0
    for item in food:
      if stock[item] > 0:
        total = total + prices[item]
        stock[item] = stock[item] - 1
        print stock
    return total

print compute_bill(shopping_list)

#2

remove this line:

print compute_bill(shopping_list)

as the error message is telling you, this will change the stock before exercise validation can run
