Issue

#1

hello i am on computers aren't that smart which is number 17. It is lesson 1 of javascript. it keeps saying "Oops, try again. It looks like your if/else didn't log 'You got a true!' to the console." It said true on the console. I swear it did. I don't understand what is the problem.

#2

Hi can you post your code.

#3

what do you mean by code

#4

All the if statement and else statement and the console.log.

Edit:

inside the if condition

if (condition){
}

you have 10 = 10 to put It true you should add 2 equal like that

10 === 10
And if you did that.
at the end of your condition you have a ; remove it

if (condition) ; <=== this one

#5

if (10 === 10) {
console.log("You got a true");
} else {
console.log("you got a false");
}

#6

Hi just add a ! at the end of your string like that

console.log("You got a true!");

The same for the other.

#7

I tried it didn't work

#8

if (10 === 10) {
} console.log("You got a true!");
} else {
console.log("you got a false!");
}

#9

Capital Y at the start will probably fix this

#10

i actually found it out so thanks for trying to help `The correct way is :
if (10 === 10) {
console.log("You got a true!");
} else {
console.log("you got a false!");
}
