Issue with raw_input throughout "Battleship!" lesson

#1

Continuing the discussion from Error while using raw_input:

The only work arounds I’ve found are to either completely replace the raw_input functions or to keep getting the error by running the code in order to check your work against what the “get code” button presents to you. Both of these sort of defeat the idea and satisfaction in the lesson, to build your own functioning game. I’ve reported the bug many times with relevant details but this seems to be an issue that happens to many people while using this platform over the past year across many different lessons . Right now it seems like the issue is mainly with the python editor. I’m running macOS 10.13.2 and the latest version of chrome, but I’ve also tried firefox and safari with the same results. The raw_input function still will not take an input and presents the error :

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "python", line 29, in <module>
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'SCT'

Get Code does nothing but skip around the SCT so you can proceed. Unfortunately the best option is the workaround

guess_row = 4
guess_col = 4

and comment out the inputs.
