Issue with create-react-app while working on Jammming Project

I am starting the Jammming project and seem to be stuck in a loop while trying to create-react-app. I have followed the react documentation but the loop continues. (link to documentation Getting Started | Create React App). I get the following loop everytime I try to create-react-app. I have updated git bash(version, visual studio code(1.64.2) and node(16.14.0).

Here are pictures of the exact loop I get, and I;m wondering if someone here could help me break it as the documentation has not helped. In the follow along video, the programmer does exactly like the documentation.

Need to install the following packages:
Ok to proceed? (y) y

You are running create-react-app 4.0.3, which is behind the latest release (5.0.0).

We no longer support global installation of Create React App.

Please remove any global installs with one of the following commands:

  • npm uninstall -g create-react-app
  • yarn global remove create-react-app

The latest instructions for creating a new app can be found here:

I then uninstall like above and keep getting the same loop. Is there a way to update create-react-app to the 5.0.0 version it recommends?

Hi, I read your question and am currently having the same issue. Did you ever solve the problem? I would appreciate any help I could get.
