.isalpha and boolean problem

how do I change this code so that if I inputted a word with a non-number such as 'hello#' is will output what should be outputted?

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

Start coding here!

original = raw_input("Enter a word:")
print original

if len(original)> 0 and original.isalpha():
print original
print ("empty")

I've checked out other forum discussions but got nowhere

Run a loop checking if it is a letter:

for i in original:
    if i in "ABC...xyz":
