I was wondering if there was a comprehensive list of all (or most) programming languages with relevant comparative information, such as primary uses, level of difficulty, strengths and weaknesses, stuff like that. I’m new to programming but not to computers. When I was younger, my father, being the computer expert, nudged me towards learning art-related computer functions, such as Adobe Photoshop, and other image editing programs. But, really, I wanted to learn programming, so I might as well start now. Any help with finding a list like this, to help decide which languages to learn and which not to. Thank you.
Wikipedia has a great list of most of the languages.
I recommend starting with Codecademy’s Python Course.
Python is a pretty beginner friendly language that should allow you to become familiar with the basics of programming before moving on to more complex languages.
