Is python 3 still the normal python

IS PYTHON 3 STILL THE NORMAL PYTHON AS I DON’T HEAR PRORAMMERS MENTION 3. Seniors, please clarify

Hey and welcome to the forums :slightly_smiling_face:

If by normal you mean the most up to date, most used, etc, than yes Python 3 is the normal. I believe 3.9.5 is the latest stable release.

There was recently a question I saw asking if there will be a Python 4, but Python creators stated they don’t want to make a new version after the problems caused when moving from 2 to 3.

You don’t need a senior engineer for this. Python 3 is python, and, quite possibly, always will be.

It’s not really a version in the same way as the number on a new iPhone or some such. Python 3 is now just what the programming language is, and has been for 13 years. At the moment, they reckon there probably won’t ever be a python 4 in any real sense.
