Is my resume supposed to look this?

#1

I managed to complete the lesson with this CSS code;

div {
    border-radius: 5px;
    border: 3px solid black;
    background-color: #B51A1A;
    height: 200px;
    width: 100px;
}
#header {
    position: fixed;
    z-index: 1;
}
.left {
    float: left;
}
.right {
    float: right;
}
#footer {
    clear: both;

But I wouldn't say the result looks... presentable.

Just in case, here's the HTML;

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
        <title>Barry Henny's Resume</title>
    </head>
    <body>
        <div id="header"></div>
        <div class="left">
        <h1>What I'm Good At</h1>
                <p>I am pretty good a programming.</p></div>
        <div class="right">
        <h1>Things I Want In A Job</h1>
            <ol>I want to have a reasonably challenging experience.</ol>
            <ol>I want to work with those as focused as I am.</ol></div>
        <div id="footer"></div></body>
</html>

Well, that is what you coded, but i agree it is indeed not very presentable, how do you think you want to improve this? what do you think you can do? I will help you, but i want to hear what you think first

#3

Technically if the code is accepted, you did the exercise right, no matter what. If it doesn't look 'presentable' then that's fine, but just remember Codecademy is here to teach you how to code and what good code looks like, not what a good resume looks like.

#4

I would like it to be in rows and not a column. I'm also wondering how to fix the floating issue.

#5

but rows is super easy, see this example. i removed you floats (since you want rows you have no need of them), and blocks will just sit below each other as rows, easy right? What do you mean floating issue?
