Is it ok to learn Python 2 for starters then go to Python 3 in 2022?

Hi, I want to start learning Python on codecademy but the only free course for learning the language is Learning Python 2, which isn’t maintained anymore since most have switched to Python 3 I believe. The python 3 course is for Pro members and I don’t want to buy Pro at the moment, and I’ll check out other coding websites to look for a free python 3 course but at the moment I really like codecademy’s ui and learning style so I want to learn on here. Is it ok for me to finish the Python 2 course here, then if I liked it I can get pro later and learn Python 3? How easy is the transition from Python 2 to 3?

Learn Python 2 and keep doing what you’re doing.

You can read up on the differences between Python 2 & 3 elsewhere online. There’s not really that much difference. Learn the basics of the language and don’t be afraid to use other resources as well to supplement your learning. (There’s lots of free stuff on YT for example)
