Actually, there is nothing wrong with the current code. However, it was incorrect until I changed : .header --> #header. Why is it that I passed the previous lessons with .header without codeacademy preventing me from moving forward? I understand the other lessons may not emphasize this particular code so ca didnt catch it. It is pretty darn confusing when you pass a multitude of lessons believing you are doing the correct thing only to find out you were wrong the whole time.

#header {
    border-radius: 5px;
    height:5px;
    width:5px;
    background-color: #00FFEE;
    position:fixed;
    z-index:1;
}
.left {
    border-radius: 5px;
    height:5px;
    width:5px;
    background-color: #00FFEE;
}
.right {
    border-radius: 5px;
    height:5px;
    width:5px;
    background-color: #00FFEE;
}
#footer {
    border-radius: 5px;
    height:5px;
    width:5px;
    background-color: #00FFEE;
}

lessons only validate what is asked in the instructions, no more no less.
