Hi everyone,
I’m considering using an i5 laptop for development work that requires running multiple virtual machines (VMs) simultaneously. My projects involve setting up different development environments using tools like VirtualBox and Docker. I want to ensure that an i5 processor has enough power to handle multiple VMs without causing performance issues or slowdowns.
Has anyone here successfully run multiple VMs on an i5 laptop? If so, what generation of i5 are you using, and how much RAM and storage do you recommend for smooth performance? Should I expect any limitations with an i5 in terms of CPU power or multitasking, especially for tasks like running a local server, database, and IDE at the same time?
Any tips or recommendations on optimizing VM performance on an i5 laptop would also be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
