Inputting on the same line

How do I input something without going to a newline? Let’s say that I want to add two numbers 1 and 2. My IDLE would ask me to input the first number and then automatically enters a newline for me to input my second number. However, I would like to stay in the same line to input my second number. Is there a way to do that?

Consider inputing both values consecutively with a space separator, then split the input string, then add the values after casting them to integers.

a, b = input('a b ? ').split()
c = int(a) + int(b)

i mean i guess so
i think this would work

a, b = input('input two numbers with a space in between ').split()
c = int(a) + int(b)
print(c)

sorry if it looks like a copy of yours

It does, so what is the point of posting it again?
