Input!

#1
 Here is my code syntax. I even created a variable named "Original;" however, the Pig

Latin Translator still doesn't translate the word "Code." Please advise.

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

Start coding here!

raw_input("Enter a word:")
variable_name = raw_input('Original')

Okay! I refreshed my page and it worked. Read that suggestion somewhere in the forum.
Thank you! :slightly_smiling:

The first line doesn't do much. It will run but nothing is stored. That line can be removed.

The second line could use a more descriptive variable name, such as user_input, or some such that says what the variable refers to. This is very helpful for readability and debugging.

 I tried your suggestion, but my code still doesn't run. Here is my syntax. Please advise.:

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

Start coding here!

variable_original = user_input("Original")
