Inline - flex

Hi!

I don’t understand wherefrom the space between the two containers originates (please see attached image with the red marking).inline flex

There is no margin set in the CSS for any of the containers (from what I can see), how does this gap occur?

(this is from lesson https://www.codecademy.com/courses/learn-css/lessons/learn-flexbox-l/exercises/display-inline-flex)

Many thanks in advance!

Hey there, I’d like to help, but CSS courses have been reorganized and your link does not lead me to the lesson.

I’d like to see the code, meanwhile I could speculate that if, for example, the container has width: 100%, but its child elements do not sum up to 100% in width, then there will be spaces in between the child elements.
You can manage those space with flex properties such as: justify-content or align-content check out MDN guide about flex alignment to know more about this.
