I don’t understand Inline elements and Block-level elements. What are they and how can I distinguish each other?

well, block will be a block and blocks will be positioned below each other, where as inline elements are inline. Which you can see in this bin

divs are block level elements by default, where as span are inline elements

look at this bin, see how we have a block? See what happens when you change the display value to inline. The element will now only take up the space it needs
