Indentation in the string of Python (Syntax Python)

In this part why I have to put two indentations after I got and before points! ? It seems as though these play roles in making the output of a string tidy by putting spaces between words. Is there any other situations like this in Python?
Thanks.

In a string such as “I got 100 points!”, every character within the quotation marks is a string character, including the spaces. In performing string processing, Python treats spaces exactly as any other character. So if you need a space in your output string, you must make sure that it is present when building the string using concatenation (the + operator.)
