In Python i thought you had to put parentheses around the string you want to print. why dont you have to on code academy?

exercise 12

Replace this line with your code.

Codecademy has up to now been using Python 2.7.x in which print is a construct, not a function. However, Python 3 has made print() a function, hence the required parens.

ok makes sense. thanks!
