How can I place an image here from my desk top rather than choosing something from Google?

.jumbotron {
background-image:url('http://goo.gl/04j7Nn');
height: 500px;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
}

Thanx

You can't. You have two options here: upload your file to google drive/dropbox, anywhere online. And then copy the image location and use it.

Or create a html file (lets say you call it index.html) on your computer, copy the content of the codecademy exercise into this html file, copy the image to the same folder as your html file (index.html),, and give the image a source (src) of the imagename.jpg.

Codecademy does not support upload of images in the exercises, but you could upload the image to the forum, and copy the image location and use it in the exercise

If you were building an actual website on your desktop or a server, you would use the path on your pc, however, as you are using codcadamy, your personal files are not available to the website.

you can upload your personal files to dropbox/prntscr and many more. This way you can use your personal files in the exercise
