Needs no further explanation. Should be href which is short for hook reference.

#4

I thought it was hypertext reference? That's what the internet says. :slightly_smiling:
I guess both work.

#5

That's what the HT in HTML stands for.

#6

I know that, I just thought that HREF shared that word in the acronym.
What about hyperlink reference?

#7

I'm going to dig around and try to find an old HTML book.

I did find this in an old book, so cannot argue. I picked up the term 'hook' many years ago when learning HyperCard on a Mac (back in the 80's). Just never got around to revising my terminology, I guess.
