I'm having a surprisingly hard time figuring out how to host a Django app

I am a beginner. As a learning project, I’ve built a Django-based website and accompanying MySQL database. These are currently locally hosted and work great, so I’d like to deploy them to the web and make them publicly available. I had thought this would be the easy part, but it’s turned out to be the most frustrating.

I just bought and paid for a hosting service, only to discover after the fact that they don’t support Django. (I am now getting a refund.) All I need is a hosting service on which I can host a Django-based website and accompanying SQL database so that the above can be accessible via a publicly-available website. I expect the site to be low-traffic so the cheapest way of doing this is probably the best, but… somehow, finding a good hosting service for this is the hard part!

Any suggestions-- including of better places for me to ask? (I’m not sure this is the right forum, and I’m not sure what is.)

Thanks!
