Without seeing the actual HTML code, I can't be certain of the exact syntax error you've made, but line 8 in the Codecademy code editor for this lesson probably looks something like this:

<ol style="background-color":> yellow;">

Can you see the stray angle bracket before the word yellow? That's probably what is causing the output you're getting too (or something very similar).

use the yellow word and not the hex value
