I learned basic HTML and CSS.
I am stucked.
How do I link my pages together?
How do I make so many index ? (The first few picture than the main index)
How do I make it like I can update blog posts on the website immediately?
I would like to signup for your pro subscription if your tutorials will be able to help me build such a website.

Hey there:

It seems like what you have with the webpage you posted, is just an image as the entire page. If you have knowledge of basic HTML, you should be fine.

To link your pages together, you need to have all the pages in one folder, and set up an href that will send it to that file, instead of a link.

Hello. I have a new question.
Can you go to http://www.jww717.net/ and click the data . How do I make it the gallery style ?? (The thumbnail before entering the post) !

Nope, this website uses a bunch of images in a frame (outdated syntax) which you need to click before you get to the actual page, each image is a link to a php file, which will load a image into the frame.

@jjkim0202, i already most of these questions in your message.
How do I link my pages together?
simple, with <a href="#">click me</a>, but unlike what 825orion says, the files don't need to be in the same directory (you can use relative or absolute paths)
How do I make so many index ? (The first few picture than the main index)
i explained you the way they did it (frame)(which is a page in a page)
How do I make it like I can update blog posts on the website immediately?
again, they use a frame. You can do the same by using iframe or you can use jquery to this.

Linking pages together is pretty straight forward, i haven't used pro, but i doubt they will cover an outdated thing like frame, maybe iframe, but you can also just read about iframe on mdn, iframe page on mdn

How did you get a domain name/hosting?

#6

I think you have to buy them. I''m not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure you have to at least buy hosting. Although there are free alternatives...

#7

I know www.siteground.com! The domain name is free and hosting is cheap.

#8

 It says this in big captial letters

Free Domain Name For Life

and this with small letters:

with every siteground hosting account

meaning since you actually have to pay for the hosting account your basically paying for the domain

#9

Wait a moment here, so the accounts you have to pay for? OK well it still isn't that expensive(unlike some places).

#10

Well still there are some places you get actually Free subdomains. And you can also somehow manage to get a free domain by knowledge

#11

I'm getting suspicious here, so you actually can get a free domain by knowledge in real life!:open_mouth:

#12

Yea, its preety hard to explain how so ima leave it off here  But subdomains is just a website you can use that gives you a free subdomain

#14

https://domains.google.com/ Not free though.

#15

Thats not free though. What is with the 1's on both sides?

#16

I have no idea maybe both you and me clicked on it. I said it wasn't free

#17

Buts its suppose to be 2 on the right side. Anways i reported it, its all good

#18

You can use github pages to get started with, it is free and good starting point.

#19

@stetim94

I learnt it with file basis in directories, but your method works as well.
