I'm not sure what's going on - the error message is in the picture. I had the code correctly typed (according to the hint) but was getting the error. Then I just copied and pasted the code from the hint. What's up?

var compare = function(choice1, choice2) {
    if(choice1 === choice2) {
        return "The result is a tie";
    }
};

HI this line

return "The result is a tie"

just add a ! after tie

I feel your pain. I got an error message once because (as an English teacher) I wanted my code to say "Drive safely!" instead of "Drive safe!"
