I have used the $cd … command and I still
can’t navigate to comedy/slapstick
You would do cd comedy/slapstick. Then list all of the directories.
cd .. takes you up one directory in the tree. 
Thank you when I tried that the first time for some reason it didn’t work maybe I had a typo in there .
