I need help with #11 in Student Becomes Teacher, Part of the Whole

#1

Hello, my code for Part of the Whole isn't working.
this is the exercise link, because I apparently need to put that:
https://www.codecademy.com/courses/python-beginner-en-qzsCL/1/4?curriculum_id=4f89dab3d788890003000096

I run the below code, and I get this error: "Oops, try again. get_class_average([alice]) resulted in an error: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'int' and 'NoneType'"

def get_class_average(students):
    results = []
    for x in students:
        results.append(get_average(x))
    return average(results)

Can anyone suggest what is wrong? Thanks in advance

#2

Can we get a look at get_average() and average(), please? Is the students array created ABOVE this function (or at least the call to it)?

Thanks for trying to help me @mtf, as it turns out I solved this exercise about 5 minutes after I posted this
