I know this is a pretty dumb mistake, but I cant find it :/

Oops, try again.
Make sure you set your span tags to background-color: yellow!

Replace this line with your code.
<!DOCTYPE html>
        <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
        <title>I Know Kung Fu (er, CSS)</title>
            <h3>What's CSS for?</h3>
            <p>CSS is for styling HTML pages!</p>
            <h3>Why use it?</h3>
            <p>It makes webpages look <span: background-color:yellow>really rad</span></p>
            <h3>What do I think of it?</h3>
            <p>It's awesome!</p>
And the CSS part
h3 {
p {

i would write the code for the span background in the css file, not the html file

If you do insist on writing it in the html file, use the style attribute

For this exercise it's not asking you to modify the actual HTML so remove the:

from the HTML. Instead add a

span {

to the css.

Oh Im such an idiot. I did the thing you suggested before I post here and I forgot to delete the HTML mode from the code :> Tnx a lot

Oh trust me man, people have made worse mistakes :sweat_smile: glad we could help
