I don't understand why return's not working

#1

It says sleepCheck isn't returning "You're getting plenty of sleep! Maybe even too much" even though it should be.

This is my code I can't tell what's wrong.

var sleepCheck = function (numHours){;
if (numHours >= 8){;
return "You're getting plenty of sleep! Maybe even too much";
} else {;
return "Get some more shut eye!";
};
};
console.log(sleepCheck(10));
console.log(sleepCheck(5));
console.log(sleepCheck(8));

#2

hi, I can see there some sintax mistakes

Ex: var sleepCheck = function (numHours){; // look for the mistake
if (numHours >= 8){; //

} else {; //

}; //

console.log(sleepCheck(10)); //

spelling and sintax are very important in this type of exercises.

#3

your function should not have semi-colons after you open the curly braces from
what i can see if (numHours >= 8){; <-----// that semi-colon shouldn't be there.
semi-colon should be used to end your statements.
